PICTURE SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

& CONTEST RULES

The following are some general guidelines to try to follow when submitting pictures for the Picture of the Week contest:

1.  Please include your first and last name in you email.

2.  Please, if possible, include the date and location of the event the picture was taken at, and also a quick caption describing the action in the photo.

3.  Preferred size of pictures is 640 x 480.  Please try to ensure that your picture is at least 400 pixels in width. 

4.  Watermarking and/or logos of any kind on the photo are discouraged.  Submitted photos with a logo or watermark will be at a disadvantage in the contest, but will still be accepted.

5.  Pictures will be due in by Midnight CST on the Friday night of the given week.  Submissions missing this deadline will be entered into the following week's contest.

6.  Pictures will be judged by THE MONSTER BLOG staff members including myself, Chris Kaelin, and Tommy Lee Byrd.

7.  If you wish to submit a batch of pictures for an event you attended to the Fan Photo Gallery, one of these pictures will automatically be entered into the corresponding week's contest.  You may recommend a picture in the batch to be entered into the contest, if you so wish.

8.  In weeks where there are no entries in the contest, a few pictures that have not participated in a previous Picture of the Week contest will be selected from the Fan Photo Gallery, and judged for that week's winner.

9.  Picture of the Month winners will be announced on the main page and their winning photo will be displayed the week following their victory.  Winning photos will also be entered into the Picture of the Year competition, with the year end winner taking all the glory. 

10.  For those of you fellow Monster Truck Website owners out there who would like to compete, you are welcome to!!  If you are declared the winner, you can even use this cool logo on your website to brag about your win!!

Finally, pictures are to be submitted to Ross Z. Bonar with the subject of the email being "Picture of the Week."  Please submit photos to:
