BOUNTY HUNTER

Lee O'Donnell had withstood some strong challenges from other trucks from his place on the hot seat, but the last out would be the reigning Freestyle World Champion Jimmy Creten driving Bounty Hunter.  Jimmy put on a heck of a show, even after getting a flat tire partway through the run.  He was so good on three good tires, getting wild air and spinning donuts, that he received a score of 25, tying Lee O’Donnell in Monster Mutt!!  Jimmy Creten put on a great performance with a flat tire, showing again that you do not need to tear up the truck to put on a good show.

The tie score would be decided by crowd applause.  The louder applause gives Lee O’Donnell in Monster Mutt the victory this night!!  We, as well as many around us, were very dissapointed with the judging, and I sure hope the judges made it home safely, as I heard no more about them, lol.

THE FINAL WORDS

Not to put a negative spin on a great evening because it was an awesome Monster Truck event, but I know the fans were in a buzz as we all were leaving over the night's controvery.  If there are any USHRA officials that read this, please think about making media people and those that who have a great knowledge about Monster Truck competition your judges in upcoming events.  Other sports would not have such important decisions made this way, and the sport of Monster Trucks is growing rapidly.  Its time to start acting like the big leagues, if you want to join their ranks.

Having said that however, we had a blast at this show, and we are very much looking forward to our next show, whenever that may be!!  A huge thanks out to all the folks from Live Nation Motorsports who did a great job putting on a fantastic show, and to all the drivers and crew members for all their hard work.  Finally, a huge thanks out to all of you for reading our coverage, we hope you enjoyed it, please leave us some feedback on the Fan Forum, and we thank you for your support of The Monster Blog!!  Until next time...
