Round 1

BIG DAWG VS. GOD, GUTS, & GLORY

The mechanical difficulties that had plagued the Stathas racing team all weekend were continuing into today.  According to the announcer, God, Guts, & Glory would be sitting out the Racing portion of the event to save the truck for Freestyle.  Thus, Doug Noelke in the Big Dawg would get a bye run in the First Round, and a free chance to get a feel for the course for the later rounds.

BIGFOOT VS. RAMMUNITION

Dave Harkey in Bigfoot would have a tough task ahead of him here in the first round, being paired up against yesterday's Racing champ, Geremie Dishman in the Rammunition Dodge.  Unfortunately for Dave and all the Bigfoot fans in the crowd, the big Hemi-powered Dodge would be too much for him, powering past and eliminating the big blue Ford in the first round.

RAMINATOR VS. AVENGER

The final match-up of the first round would put Mark Hall in the Raminator up against Jim Kohler in Avenger.  Hall quickly proved that the truck was ready to rock'n'roll today, powering down the course and beating a hard-charging Jim Kohler.

Round 2

RAMMUNITION VS. AVENGER

Jim Kohler's strong run in Round 1 against the Raminator would advance him to the second round as the fast loser.  Geremie Dishman in Rammunition had been very hard to beat thus far, and it would take a mistake-free run by Kohler to advance to the Finals.  Kohler gave just that, and it was Dishman who would be making the mistake in this round.  Rammunition got sideways off the line and had to let off the gas, handing the win to Mr. Excitement!!

BIG DAWG VS. RAMINATOR

Competing for the chance to face off against the former Monster Jam World Finals champion in the Finals would be Doug Noelke in the Big Dawg and Mark Hall in the Raminator.  Noelke got the jump off the line and never looked back, taking the win and the berth in the Finals.

Before the show started, I think very few people would have predicted a Big Dawg-Avenger Final Round, but both trucks had proven themselves to be the best this Sunday afternoon, and would be racing for all the marbles in Springfield!!
