4 WHEEL JAMBOREE DAY 2

MAY 1ST, 2005 - OZARK EMPIRE FAIRGROUNDS

FREESTYLE COMPETITION (continued)

BIGFOOT 30TH ANNIVERSARY

Next up was yesterday's Freestyle champ, Dave Harkey in Bigfoot!!  After a poor showing in Racing today, it was time to see what Harkey had in store for the fans here in Freestyle.  Harkey started off by crushing the little-used van on our end of the fairgrounds.  Then he headed down to the other end of the track, and it was wheelie time again!!  Harkey hit the wheelie bump, and pulled a great slap wheelie down the center of the course, bringing the crowd to their feet!!  Then after another hit on the cars, it was wheelie time once again.  Harkey pulled another nice slap wheelie, although not quite a spectacular as previous ones.  After a couple more nice hits on the van and car sets, that would be all for Harkey and Bigfoot.  A very solid run, and it would be very difficult to try and pick between him and the Raminator so far.  I would have to say that the Wheelies give Bigfoot the edge at this point.  But Jim Kohler in the Avenger was still left, and no Freestyle lead is safe with Mr. Excitement still left to run.

AVENGER

Time for Jimmy Kohler in the Avenger to take to the track and from the moment he roared out, it was obvious that he was shooting for the win.  His very first hit produced some huge air of the van stack, which he promptly worked into a great slap wheelie on the landing.  The entire run would be all about the huge air, as every hit on every obstacle he made saw the Avenger flying sky high!!  Kohler had the crowd rockin' in Springfield, and when all was said and done, there was no doubt that Mr. Excitement was the day's Freestyle Champ!!

THE FINAL WORDS

The amazing run from Avenger sent all the fans home with a smile on their face and their adrenaline still pumping, my wife and I included.  After a great fun-filled weekend, Rajeana and I loaded up and began the trek back to St. Robert, our second Monster Truck event of the year now history.  It would still be four months before I started The Monster Blog, but I am glad to be able to share our videos and pictures from that event with you all.  I hope you all enjoyed the coverage, be sure to leave us some feedback on the Fan Forum!!  Thanks for reading!!
