Bridgeport Speedway Day of
Destruction!!:

team roared into the Bridgeport Speedway on Father's Day. Black
Stallion, Iron Warrior, Storm Damage, Killer Bee, and Screamin' Demon put
on awesome performances for the New Jersey crowd, and Special Contributor
Andrew Palochko was kind enough to send us these shots!! Thanks &
Enjoy!! (06/20/06)

Auto City Speedway Monster
Trucks!!:
The Extreme Monster Truck Nationals came to the Auto City Speedway in
Clio, MI Friday night for the first of three big shows this weekend, and
my father Lauren Z. Bonar and I were on hand for all the action!!
Equalizer, Excaliber, Hot Tamale, Lil' Miss Dangerous, & Sudden Impact
would do battle in Wheelie, Racing, & Freestyle competitions.
Jocelyn Perrin narrowly won the Wheelie contest, as everybody did an
awesome job and the win could have went to any of the trucks. In
Racing, it was Mike Hawkins in Equalizer beating Perrin in the Finals to
take the win. Sudden Impact and Hot Tamale were unable to Freestyle
due to problems suffered in Racing, but Sean Duhon led off with a great
run in Excaliber. Then, Jocelyn Perrin came out and wowed the crowd
with big air, a nice hit on the bus, and some crazy cyclones to end her
run. It would be up to Mike Hawkins in Equalizer to try and beat
her, but even though he brought big air, tons of momentum, and a great
overall run, the crowd vote went to Lil' Miss Dangerous!! It was a
great night of action at the Auto City Speedway, so if you're in the area,
make sure to catch the Saturday or Sunday show!! Thanks to Jim
Morris, the AMTA crew, and the Auto City Speedway staff for their
hospitality, and to the drivers for putting on such a great show!!
More to come from this event soon, right here on The Monster Blog!!

The Monster Blog Partners
With The Enthusiast Network!!:
TheMonsterBlog.com has become the leading source for monster truck
coverage on the internet over the last 10 months, and we continue to
explore ways to grow the readership on the site. In our most
exciting news yet, we are proud to announce our partnership with The
Enthusiast Network, publisher of the popular Trucks Magazine.
As part of the new working relationship, my father
Lauren Z. Bonar, and myself, Ross Z. Bonar, will be providing The
Enthusiast Network with exclusive content and monster truck event coverage
that will be run across TEN's network of internet sites, a few of which
will even be printed in Trucks Magazine. The Enthusiast Network's
internet sites reach 5.5 million unique visitors each month, and The
Monster Blog will benefit greatly from the extra exposure received by our
content appearing on TEN.
Rick Shandley, Director of Web Programming for The
Enthusiast Network had the following to say about The Monster Blog:
"TheMonsterBlog.com's race coverage and photography is all we could ask
for. Your team obviously understands the Monster Truck racing scene
wherever your coverage takes you and that really helps The Enthusiast
Network share these Monster Truck events with more than 5.5 million unique
viewers each month. Summer time is event season and keeping a steady
flow of great event coverages and solid action photography is an enormous
challenge. You and your team have really proven you can capture the
action and meet the challenge."
Our first event coverage for The Enthusiast Network was
actually the Springfield 4 Wheel Jamboree early last month. We have
also contributed exclusive content from the Firebird, Miami, and Lima
shows to The Enthusiast Network in addition to the content seen here on
The Monster Blog. For the first time, we are providing links to
those articles so that you all can join the hundreds of thousands of
readers who have seen each of them on TEN.
Why the delay in the announcement? We were using
the first month of the partnership as a trial period and we couldn't be
happier with the results to this point. Our content appears across
The Enthusiast Network, from
ChevyTruckWorld.com,
DodgeTruckWorld.com, and
FordTruckWorld.com to
OffRoadTruckWorld.com, the original
TruckWorld.com, and the internet
home of Trucks Magazine, TrucksMag.com!!
Most exciting of all, the Lima 4 Wheel Jamboree
article and photos have been picked up for print in a future edition of
Trucks Magazine!! We will keep you all posted and let you know when
you can go to your local store and pick up your copy featuring content
from TheMonsterBlog.com!! Also, going forward we will post a link
here whenever new exclusive content from The Monster Blog appears on The
Enthusiast Network. See below for links to our previous content on
TEN, and be watching for more exciting news coming from this new
partnership. Thanks for your support!!

Lancaster Monster Trucks!!:
What a weekend!! The family and I had a great time visiting Niagara
Falls, it is definitely one of the most beautiful places in the world.
On Saturday night, we drove about a half an hour from the falls to
Lancaster, NY where four monster trucks would perform during intermission
at the Lancaster Raceway Park. The Tigue brothers would be
representing Shafer Motorsports, with James in Bearfoot, and Wayne in the
new Amsoil-sponsored Shock Therapy truck. Steven Baron's Black Widow
would be making its first appearance of the year, while Bob Robbins in
Aftershock would also be on hand. The trucks were asked to fill
about 20 minutes during intermission, and they would do so with Wheelie
and Freestyle contests. James Tigue II in Bearfoot just edged Bob
Robbins in Aftershock for the best Wheelie, and then brought big air and
donuts during Freestyle, winning the crowd vote for that victory as well.
Wayne Tigue also had a very impressive Freestyle in his first outing in
the Amsoil truck, while Bob Robbins in Aftershock and Steven Baron in
Black Widow both struggled. All in all, it was a fun time, and I
want to send out a big thank you to Jim & Marla Reid of Lancaster Raceway
Park for their hospitality and to the drivers for their efforts.
Click the link below for more photos from this show on the Fan Forum and
be watching for a short video of some of the action coming soon!
Thanks & Enjoy!! (06/12/06)

THANK YOU to Sturges
Motorsports!!:
A great surprise awaited my parents when they showed up at the Prescott
Valley Speedway last night. Over the last year, my parents have been
privileged to see the Sturges team perform many times, and have gotten to
know Sam and his great family quite well. They are some of the
greatest folks in the business, and their kindness showed through in a big
way as they have outfitted their three trucks with "TheMonsterBlog.com"
logos!! We had no idea that they would do such an awesome thing for
us, and it really was a fantastic surprise!! Below are pics of the
logos on Nasty Boy and the Boogie Monster ride truck, while the logo is
visible on Unnamed & Untamed in the above donut shot in the teasers from
Prescott. On behalf of myself, my parents, and all of those who
contribute to The Monster Blog, we send out a HUGE Thank You to Sam,
Peggy, Ronnnie, and the whole Sturges team, and as always, we can't wait
to see them again!! (06/04/06)
