The Announcer - By Brian Varmecky (February 15th, 2007 - www.wmtrl.com) - Huffaker opens a commanding lead!! * Pablo Huffaker proved his ability to adapt to different courses, as he took 3 of 4 wins on the slick concrete Chicago-style course in Nassau County this past weekend. Huffaker lost the opening event to Tom Meents, but then won the next three over John Seasock, Tony Farrel, and Tom Meents. Each event was worth a whopping 102 points due to the quality of trucks and an 8-truck field. Huffaker is now one of only two drivers to have more than 1000 points on the season. In fact, he’s over half-way to his points total from last year! * Marc McDonald won only once in three tries in Philadelphia, but made the final round each night, and has moved into 2nd place. * Linsey Weenk won 2 high-ranking events in the Pepsi Center, defeating a field of Jimmy Creten, David Smith, Daron Basl, Charlie Pauken and Frank Krmel for 194 points. * Neil Elliot started off slow in Philadelphia, but picked up 1 win in 2 finals to end the weekend and rejoin the Top Ten. * 2006 Rookie of the Year Adam Anderson won all 4 races in Pittsburgh and joins the standings in 22nd. * Candice Jolly is on a roll! She’s extended her winning streak to 5 races, with a 3-race sweep in Biloxi. Jolly has moved into 36th and is 3rd in the Rookie Standings. She also leads all Rookies with 5 wins. * Tom Meents has had the toughest schedule so far this season, averaging a 1.101 EWR. * Keep an eye on Michael Vaters next week. He won 3 of 4 finals in Grand Rapids, but none have been reported yet. If they had been, Vaters would be in third place this week. We expect at least two (hopefully all 4) to be reported before the next update. Teammate Trey Meyers is up 30 positions from his final ranking in 2006.

- Upsets of the Week Portland, OR – Kelvin Ramer advanced to his 2nd final round of the year by defeating Chad Tingler in Grave Digger on Sunday afternoon. Biloxi, MS – Candice Jolly continued her winning streak with 3 more wins in Biloxi, including a win over Allen Pezo on Friday. Roanoke, VA – Deric Evans fought his way through Bruce Haney, Chad Fortune, and father Dan for the win in Roanoke.
- Spotlight Two of the west coast’s top drivers have made big moves in the standings this week. Norman Miller (Blue Thunder) and Dan Rodoni (The Patriot) both jumped up over 20-spots, with Miller now ranked 17th and Rodoni 21st. Norm Miller finished 2005 with 3 wins in 13 races. This season, he’s already up to 11 races and 4 wins! This past weekend he won 3 of his 4 finals in Spokane, beating Scott Anderson, Jeff Bainter, and Mike Wine. Previously, he won the 90-point event in Vancouver over Chad Tingler. Currently, Miller is in a tie with his fellow Blue Thunder driver, Tony Farrel. Dan Rodoni won 1 of 3 finals in Portland, but the two loses were to his other truck, Tropical Thunder driven by Phil Foster. Last year, Rodoni won 4 of his 23 races and ranked 48th overall. This season, he already has 2 wins in 10 events. His other win was from Reno, where he won 1 of 4 final rounds. In fact, Rodoni has only missed the finals 3 times this season. This weekend, Miller and Rodoni will meet up in Salt Lake City, along with Phil Foster, Mike Wine, Jeff Bainter, Brian Christensen, Scott Anderson and Matthew Powers, and will compete for 261 points.
