TheMonsterBlog.com 2007 Preview Series continues as we take an Inside Look

at the Hall Brothers Racing team with crew member Kyle Doyle.

With the 2006 racing season in the books, and the 2006 MTRA Banquet now just a memory, the Hall Brothers Racing team and their fleet of Dodge Ram monster trucks are gearing up for 2007.

With championships to defend both indoors (Monster Nationals) and outdoors (Special Events), the team certainly isn’t resting on their laurels. Team manager and crew chief Tim Hall has been working closely with parts manufacturers and engineers outside of the monster truck industry to develop higher performance and longer-lasting driveline parts for the team’s Hemi-powered race trucks. Having closely examined race vehicles ranging from NHRA dragsters to CORR off-road trucks, the team is in the process of refining these ideas and parts into useful products, some of which have actually been tested in competition in 2006. Shop foreman and lead driver Mark Hall has also been putting in countless hours of research and welding time in an effort increase the level of performance and safety that his renowned chassis have become known for.

The team has also been hard at work rebuilding two of their race trucks in anticipation of a grueling 2007 season. Mark Hall’s Raminator 007 truck, and Geremie Dishman’s Rammunition 005 truck are both undergoing extensive overhauls, including the re-powdercoating of the frames. This is the first time in the history of HBR that the rebuilding of two trucks in one off-season has been attempted, but so far, things are looking to be on schedule. Appearance and performance have become trademarks of the team’s trucks, so the team views these rebuilds as a vital part of their off season.

In 2006, the team’s fleet of six Freightliner tractors and two Dodge Ram Heavy Duty dually pickups put on nearly 200,000 miles, most of which was covered using “B11” bio-diesel, which is an 11% mixture of soy diesel and petroleum-sourced diesel. Hailing from the heart of America’s farmland, the team’s enthusiastic acceptance of the cleaner-burning, American-made fuel has even attracted the attention of the National Bio Diesel Board. Look for the big red and black rigs to continue running the fuel in all of its rigs, generators, and pickups in 2007.

With Dodge on board once again as primary sponsor for 07, the team is happy to report that all of their associate sponsors are also returning for 07, including driveline manufacturer Eaton, makers of the famous Detroit Locker. HBR is also working closely with some other potential sponsors who have never been involved in monster trucks before.

With the outdoor season in mind, HBR is looking to bring the nation’s network of Dodge dealers further into the monster truck fold. Pit area improvements are being researched and perfected to help enhance the monster truck experience that Dodge dealers and other HBR sponsors and VIP’s will enjoy when they visit the team at one of the Special Events 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals in 2007. The team’s already unmistakable pit area will be complimented by a new trailer and Dodge Ram 3500 Heavy Duty, which will join the team’s usual compliment of Freightliner tractors and T&E trailers.

Updated news and schedules, a brand-new merchandise section, and lots of other fantastic updates will be available soon on www.Raminator.com. You can also keep your eyes out for new Raminator and Rammunition merchandise and toys in 2007, which will be available on the Raminator.com website, at races and dealerships via the team’s merchandise trailer, and in the case of some items, in retail stores nation-wide.
