Firebird Monster Jammin' Nationals Day Two!!: The monsters were back in action today at Firebird International Raceway for wheelie, donut, and freestyle competitions!! Tom Meents in Maximum Destruction was tough to beat again today taking both the donut and freestyle wins, and Sam Sturges in Unnamed & Untamed took the wheelie contest victory. Once again all the drivers put on great performances to wrap up another spectacular event at Firebird. Thanks to Staff Members Lauren & Lynette Bonar for covering the show this weekend, full coverage and video coming soon, so stay tuned!! (04/29/07)
Firebird Monster Jammin' Nationals Recap!!: Tonight was the first part of the 9th Annual Monster Jammin' Nationals at the Firebird International Raceway!! Twelve monster trucks would compete in All-Out Freestyle and when all was said and done, it was Tom Meents in Maximum Destruction walking away the winner. All twelve trucks competed in the first round of freestyle, all putting on memorable performances. When the dust settled, Maximum Destruction, Brutus, Star Bigfoot, Unnamed & Untamed, Nasty Boy, and El Matador would be the six trucks moving on to the finals, leaving such heavy hitters as Summit Bigfoot, Bounty Hunter, Iron Outlaw, and Avenger eliminated in round one.
Sam Sturges in Unnamed & Untamed made an unbelievable
save to keep from rolling the truck at one point, and Dave Harkey in Star
Bigfoot was great as well, but in the end no one could overcome Meents'
dominance. Max D brought huge air and insane cyclones, tearing away pieces
of the body during his wild run.
T-Maxx & Grave Digger Battle at Dixie Speedway!!: Another speedway known for stacked monster truck lineups is the Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA. This weekend Checkered Flag Productions made their spring trip to the racetrack bringing along a great lineup including Grave Digger, Maximum Destruction, Traxxas T-Maxx, Sudden Impact, Twisted Dragon, Geter'Done, Reaper, and Viper. Friday night would feature an incredible final round race between Sean Duhon in T-Maxx and Gary Porter in Grave Digger, with T-Maxx barely edging out Digger for the big win. Saturday night would see the two in the racing finals again, but this time Porter and Digger took the victory when T-Maxx shut down in between jumps. (04/28/07)

American Monster Truck Museum & Official Hall of Fame Announced!!: I received the following letter from Steven Ford ("Big Stevo"), owner of the former Bigfoot #3 monster truck, now called Legend. He is the head of a newly formed organization, see below for details: "The time is long past due. The idea in many minds. I wanted LEGEND to pay honor to not only Bob Chandler, but many others. The original idea for LEGEND has now grown. After some time to think, I have now teamed up with Jeff Haliday to start The American Monster Truck Museum & Official Hall of Fame.
I have also asked a
few people that I feel can give a solid base to make this happen. I first
learned of Jeff Haliday from the pages of the BIGFOOT extreme fan page
that Eli Mann brought to my attention. I got to talking to Jeff and
discovered he had the same dream for a museum. I told him I wanted to go
further and make our sport a real Hall of Fame. So, after a failed attempt
with a former Bigfoot employee to start this, I now have found the right
team. Along with Jeff and myself we have asked Dennis Taft and Jeff
Hawkins to be onboard. Eli Mann will also be with us as the first charter
member of the HOF committee. KSR-Motorsports Puerto Rico Tour Complete!!: (Exton, PA) KSR-Motorsports is back from its unbelievable Caribbean Tour. The tour included 12 shows and 70,000 spectators who witnessed the USA invasion of Puerto Rico and the KSR-Motorsports Night of Fire and Destruction Tour. KSR has been in Puerto Rico for the last two weeks with Boston Bigshot, Dominator, Martial Law, and Doug Danger.
The fans went crazy
for the 12 shows making every pass in every show, something that is almost
never seen, and is truly a promoter's dream. These guys were unbelievable
and the Puerto Rican fans loved every minute of it. In our many years in
the business we have never seen three trucks do the things they did; it
really made us proud to represent the USA and for the first time in 20
years in the great country of Puerto Rico.
