TIRE PROS TRUCK & 4X4 NATIONALS (Page 3)

October 21st-22nd, 2006 - Firebird International Raceway - Chandler, AZ

SUNDAY 11:30AM INTRODUCTIONS

Another day of monster trucks!!  Lynn and I arrived early once again, and were all set for the first show of the day. Things started to get pretty wild right off the bat with the first introduction run. Ronnie Sturges in Nasty Boy came out, crushed cars, performed a couple wheelies, but then made a turn to go back over the cars that was just a bit too sharp.  Nasty Boy slowly went over on its side. Ronnie was not hurt and just minor Fiber Glass damage to the body of Nasty Boy. Ronnie would even make it out for the Freestyle portion of this show.  What a way to kick it off though!  See below for pictures of Nasty Boy's rollover and the rest of the Introduction freestyles!!

SUNDAY 11:30AM FREESTYLE

There was some great action during the short Intro runs and it would be hard to top that in the actual Freestyle. But these drivers were up to the task as you will see in the following set of photos!!

Nathan Weenk in Jurassic Attack was second in the lineup and put on his usual awesome performance, but had some bad luck towards the end as he too had a tire blow out. These Weenk fellows are heck on their tires!!  Sam Sturges in Unnamed & Untamed also did a great job and really did something to please the crowd--as he went over the tires, put the truck in a wheelie, he came a little to close to the stage, hitting it and taking out a banner--one that was blocking the crowd’s vision anyway. (Not to worry, the stage was empty while the action was going on) The fans loved it and gave a loud ovation for "Psycho" Sam. Linsey Weenk in Iron Outlaw also had some mechanical difficulties.
