BURNOUT COMPETITION

Kind of an amusing side story on the evening was the open field Tough Truck and Burnout competitions.  The locals must not have gotten the word about the open to anyone tough truck field, as few showed up.  The ones that did would be running aged cars the size of boats rather than trucks.  While I didn't get any pictures of this "Tough Truck" contest, I did get a couple of the Burnout competition.

FREESTYLE COMPETITION

SUDDEN IMPACT

The first truck out for Freestyle was Brandon Legarde in Sudden Impact.  Unfortunately I was having issues with camera during his run, and did not come away with any pictures of it.  As I remember it, Legarde made a number of passes back and forth across the car set, not getting much air, and smashing the van in the middle down complete flat.  An entertaining run, but not one that I expected to compete for the win.

NITEMARE

Andy Hoffman was next out in his awesome Nitemare truck, looking to avenge his loss in the Final Round of racing.  He was looking to set the bar very high for Bobby Holman and the Beast, and he did just that.  With a fast paced run, and some great hits going back and forth on the car set, getting some awesome air, Andy had the crowd rockin'!!  Throw in a couple nice donuts in a very confined space and an awesome reverse jump over the cars, that run was going to be tough to beat!!

VENOM

Shane Smith in Venom would have a tough act to follow after that great run by Andy Hoffman, and the truck would not be up to the task.  Smith took a couple of hits on the cars, getting some decent air on one of those hits, but his run would not make him a contender for the win.
