FREESTYLE
WILD HAIR
The first truck out was Jason Witte in the Wild Hair truck. Didn't really know what to expect from this truck, but boy was I suprised!! Witte came out strong, taking the bus jump hard, and then ripped an awesome slap wheelie!! Another great slap wheelie off the bus jump again, and then another great move!! Witte brought the truck around to the double stacked set of cars, and walked a wheelie right over the top, and as the truck hit the ground, pulled another slap wheelie!! Witte then tried to bring the truck back around, and the wheels caught in the dirt, nearly flipping the truck. Witte made an incredible save to keep the truck from going over and the crowd went nuts!! Witte pulled a few more moves and then stuffed the truck into the bus setup to finish the run!! What a way to go out on top. Its just a shame that this was the last run for this awesome driver-truck combo. Jason Witte and Wild Hair had the Ed rockin'!! Unfortunately, Wild Hair was hurt a bit by being the first truck out, and the judges only turned in a score of 21. My wife and I were disappointed, but if that was only a 21, who knows what we were in for next!!
DEVASTATOR
Mark Schroeder came out next in the Devastator truck, but with the exception of a real nice slap wheelie, nothing too exciting happened. Didn't get any pictures of this run as I was fiddling with the camera.
DESTROYER
Dan Evans came out looking good in the Destroyer truck, and made a decent jump over the cars to open the run. A first hit on the bus produced some decent air, but the second one was incredibly, as Evans walked a huge slap-wheelie after landing!! The crowd went wild when the rear tailgate of the truck was ripped off as Evans pulled off the wheelie. The Destroyer then came back around and gingerly climbed over the bus stack, and stopped. What was he doing, we wondered? Evans then gunned the engine and made an incredible jump over the bus in reverse!! This move electrified the crowd, and after one more wheelie, Evans drove off the track after a great performance. Evans received style points from The Monster Blogger here, for walking the truck sideways over the ATV rhythm section on the way off the track. With the tires going at the jumps from an angle, it produced a neat rhythm with the tires, one up, one down, kind of deal, and was a real nice touch. Still, the judges seemed a little stingy, and Evans received a score of 22. Was it really one point better than Wild Hair? Not in my book, but that's how it goes.
SCARLET BANDIT
Dawn Creten rolled out in the Scarlet Bandit machine, and was starting out a decent run, with a couple of nice jumps, including hitting the previously unused big jump in the middle for some great air. After another nice air jump over the double stacked cars, some kind of mechanical failure with sparks ended Dawn's run early. She would receive an 18 for her efforts from the judges.
HOT WHEELS
Was really hoping to see something great out of Guy Wood, after seeing him pull off so many great runs in the Bulldozer truck back when, but after a few nice jumps, the Hot Wheels truck had a rear wheel lock up, and came to rest on one of the ATV hills. Only a 9 for Guy Wood and the Hot Wheels.
