Featuring 7 great monster trucks including Summit Bigfoot, Bounty Hunter, Iron Outlaw, Maniac, Jurassic Attack, Nasty Boy, and Unnamed & Untamed competing in four freestyle-only shows, we have packed right at 11 minutes of action into our video!!  At only 35MB, the video is well worth the wait, so check out it now by clicking the link below!!  Thanks to my mom Lynette Bonar for the awesome footage and we hope you enjoy it!!  (10/29/06)

MOD 2006 Ends In Roswell, NM This Weekend!!:  (Roswell, NM)  With 23 Rounds of competition in the books, the 2006 Monsters of Destruction National Monster Truck Series will perform its final two rounds in Roswell, New Mexico at the Eastern New Mexico State Fairgrounds. Seven trucks are scheduled to battle it out including Dan Runte in Bigfoot, Rick Swanson in Obsession, the 2005 MOD Series Champion Kreg Christensen in Dragon Slayer, Kelvin Ramer in Natural High, David Smith in King Krunch, Daron Basl in El Matador and Matt Powers in Shattered.
Rick Swanson in Obsession has wrapped up the points championship in both Straight Line Drags and Obstacle Course for the 2006 season with Dan Patrick unable to compete in the last seven rounds of competition.

“This year I set out to win the series for my father who past away earlier this year and that is what we did,” said Rick Swanson. “It is very special to me and my family to bring this championship home. It was a long and hard series, but we made it out on top.”
“With our second season nearly in the books, I can say that we had some of the best racing I have ever witnessed in Monster Trucks,” said Chris Kingston, president of Milestone Motorsports, Inc. “I cannot tell you how many races were separated by thousandths of a second. It definitely came down to the most consistent teams week in and week out who placed well in the overall standings.”
Look for several new changes in 2007 making the series the most competitive and legitimate series in monster truck history.  (10/27/06)

Tuba City Fair Videos Posted!!:  The Frankish Enterprises team of Maniac and Jurassic Attack came to my parents Lauren & Lynette Bonar's hometown a couple weeks ago to perform as part of the annual Tuba City Fair Mud Bog. As it turned out, the mud bog promoter would forget to bring out cars for the monster trucks to crush, so Don and Nathan had to improvise and they still put on a good show for the fans. See the videos now by clicking the link below or by heading over to the Videos section. Thanks & Enjoy!!  (10/26/06)

Monsters Trucks Return to Firebird!!:  The monster trucks were back at Firebird International Raceway for the annual fall show as part of the Tire Pros Truck & 4x4 Nationals this weekend and my parents Lauren & Lynette Bonar were on hand to cover all the action!!  Seven trucks would compete in the weekend's four freestyle shows including Bounty Hunter, Summit Bigfoot, Iron Outlaw, Maniac, Jurassic Attack, Nasty Boy, and Unnamed & Untamed!!  Despite great performances by all trucks at the show, it was Dan Runte in Summit Bigfoot who was awarded the overall victory when all four shows were done. Jimmy Creten, Linsey Weenk, and Sam Sturges were also awarded trophies, and Don Frankish in Maniac was one of the strongest runners all weekend. Ronnie Sturges in Nasty Boy experienced a small rollover during Intros on Sunday as well. We will have TONS of content from the weekend's shows including lots of video and a full coverage with many pictures, so stay tuned!! (10/23/06)

Dawn Creten Will Return In Anaheim!!:  Fan favorite driver Dawn Creten will make her long awaited return to the driver's seat of Scarlet Bandit the second week of January in Anaheim, CA. After a long break from competition, TheMonsterBlog.com has learned from Dawn herself that she will be back behind the wheel for the Anaheim, CA Monster Jam on January 13th, 2007. Thanks to Dawn for sharing this information with us at this weekend's Firebird show!!  (10/23/06)

Big Gun Flips In Bloomsdale!!:  The brand new Big Gun monster truck made its debut at the Pit Bull Tires Mud Bash in Bloomsdale, MO today and the result was certainly not what owner / driver Matt Heady was hoping for. Upon landing after the truck's very first jump over a single-car set, both front wheels broke free causing the front end to bury into the ground, nosing the truck up and over onto its roof. Thankfully Matt was ok and is now determined to find the problem and get it corrected for Big Gun's next appearance. We look forward to seeing Matt and the Big Gun back in action, as we remain excited to see what this truck is capable of!!  (10/21/06)

Mud Racer Injured in Texas:  Kipp Findley, driver of the Fatal Attraction mud dragster, was critically injured at the Lufkin, TX Mud Racing event recently. Findley is currently in serious condition at the Texas Orthopedic Hospital in Houston and is being treated for over twenty fractures to his legs and feet. The incident occurred when the throttle hung, causing the vehicle to crash while traveling at nearly 150mph. Please keep Kipp and his family in your thoughts and prayers--we here at TheMonsterBlog.com certainly will be. Watch TeamMotorJam.com for more information on Findley's condition, and drop by to leave some well-wishes as well.  (10/21/06)

Dodge Raminator at i-Hobby in Chicago!!:  (Champaign, IL) The Dodge Raminator monster truck, winner of eight monster truck championships, will be appearing October 19th through the 22nd at the i-Hobby trade show in Chicago, IL. Driver Mark Hall, along with championship driver Geremie Dishman (Rammunition), will be on hand with the truck, signing autographs and talking to fans in support of the launch of a new line of Raminator and Rammunition model kits.
The models, which will be available later this fall, will be produced by Hawk Models, and marketed under various brands under the Hawk umbrella. Details on the models will be available after their unveiling at the show, but fans will surely be impressed with the level of detail that the Hawk designers and engineers have designed into the models. The Hawk crew worked closely with Hall Brothers Racing earlier this year to capture many of the unique details found on the Raminator and Rammunition trucks.
For more information on these models and Raminator and Rammunition, fans can visit the Hawk Models booth at the i-Hobby show in Chicago, and the HBR website: www.raminator.com (10/17/06).

The Monster Truck Showdown Just Got Bigger!!:  (Bridgeport, TX) Tickets for the Monster Truck Showdown are selling good for the event coming up Friday and Saturday night October 20th and 21st inside the Beasley Coliseum in Pullman. There is a whole new development happened on Wednesday, after a phone call the Checkered Flag Productions office received from one of the biggest names ever in Monster Trucks. “On Wednesday afternoon we were in a staff meeting talking about our trip we had made to visit the Beasley Coliseum when Bob Trent the manager from Team Bigfoot 4x4 called. He “wanted to know why they were not invited to race at that event in Pullman?” We put him on the speaker phone and our entire staff said “Let's Get It On!’
It is official - Bigfoot, the Legendary King of the Monster Trucks will be in competition both nights of this history making event. That steps up the level of competition but remember Bigfoot will have it’s hands full with the race trucks that are already signed up. Two of the four of the trucks in the competition have been featured on the Monsters of Destruction Television Race Series, one of the trucks is sponsored by the Outdoor Life Network Cable TV company it is called Monster Moose.
The Moose is driven by Brad Campbell of Seattle and is one of the favorites. Brad is feeling good about coming to Beasley and had this to say about BIGFOOT, “We are coming to win, no matter if Bigfoot is there or not! We had to beat Bigfoot to win last April’s Winter National Championship and honestly I have allot of family and friends who will probably be there cheering me on, remember this is my race in front of the home state crowd!”
Other truck drivers that are in competition will be driving trucks like Hot Stuff which is a Chevy powered Jeep, the driver Casey Ladelle is from Oregon and feels his jeep is suited for the race and is determined, “I have a short wheelbase and my truck is fast off the line so I think I have a chance, if not the first night maybe the second!” Watching the rest of the drivers will be fun as there are two from Washington and two from Oregon and one from Idaho. Seeing the trucks race side by side and crush cars is exciting and doing it inside Beasley offers a chance for no rain out and perfect weather to watch these trucks strut their stuff.
“Bigfoot being part of this event will shake up the whole valley and this will give people a chance from this part of the U.S. to see the King of the Monsters!”, said Ed Beckley the owner of Checkered Flag Productions, Inc. the company that is producing the two nights of Monster excitement.
There will be plenty more to see, a night slammed packed full of local drivers competing in an obstacle course for their Tuff Trucks, plus an Ugly Truck Contests, and Speed Moto X Motorcycle Races, and Quad Wars!  (10/12/06)

T-Maxx Fly's At Route 66!!:  (Joliet, IL)  The Traxxas® T-Maxx™ descended on one of the most unique tracks in monster truck racing at the Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois. Over 8,000 people packed the grandstands to witness a monster truck showdown on the over/under figure 8 racing track. Jon Zimmer piloted T-Maxx against some of the nation’s top monster trucks including Avenger, Brutus, Excaliber, Sudden Impact, Eradicator, Aftershock, and Backdraft!

In Racing T-Maxx matched up against Bob Robbins in Aftershock. In a display of raw power and total control, T-Maxx defeated After Shock to start off the night. T-Maxx proceeded to eliminate Backdraft in the 2nd round, advancing to the final round of racing against Sean Duhon in Excaliber. In a hard fought battle T-Maxx went all out and entered the final corner too early. After T-Maxx made the steering correction Excalibur caught T-Maxx, making it a close race to the finish. Excalibur snuck by T-Maxx at the line taking the win at Route 66 Raceway.
In Freestyle T-Maxx took to the track and kicked things off with a giant leap, clearing 6 cars. Zimmer turned T-Maxx around and the mammoth monster truck thundered to the other end of the track for another massive leap over the cars. T-Maxx then pulled off a ferocious donut sending dust everywhere! Fans cheered T-Maxx on as it charged towards the enormous bus pyramid. Upon impact T-Maxx launched skyward getting huge air! T-Maxx slammed hard into the ground, and as the truck slammed down it popped back up into a breath taking slap wheelie! T-Maxx slid to a stop and the crowd went wild!

TheMonsterBlog.com Launches New Design!!:  After being online for just over a year, we decided it was time for TheMonsterBlog.com to get a small facelift--and we are very happy with the results!!  There have been no major changes, simply an update to the existing site. Most everything is still in the same place, but we wanted to come up with a more professional look, provide some better exposure for our sponsors, and get rid of the frames setup we have utilized in the past. We hope you like the new design, be sure to stop by the Fan Forum and let us know what you think!!  Thanks!!  (10/10/06)

Natural High's 50th Event!!:  (Natural High PR)  The annual WGAS show at the Southern California Fair in Perris Valley was the site of Natural High's 50th event and third rollover. It was a great show, with eleven of the world's best monster trucks performing freestyle on Saturday afternoon, racing on Sunday afternoon, and freestyle again on Sunday evening to cheering crowds packing into full stands.
The rollover happened Sunday afternoon. Kelvin drove Natural High back to the pits, re-beaded a front tire, did a quick inspection, and went back out to complete racing. Check out our website at www.naturalhighmonstertruck.com for a complete rollover sequence.
Sunday evening's freestyle was very exciting with Natural High taking a second place out of the field of trucks. What a way to always remember our 50th show!!!!!!!!!!!

Monster Mash at Route 66!!:  Monster Mash III took place this weekend at the Route 66 Speedway in Joliet, IL. The show featured seven monster trucks including, Avenger, Backdraft, Brutus, Eradicator, Excaliber, Sudden Impact, & Traxxas T-Maxx competing in racing & freestyle competitions.  As is the norm at the Route 66 Monster Mash, the track crew designed a wild racing course--an over/under Figure 8 course!!  The racing finals came down to Excaliber and T-Maxx, and it was Sean Duhon in Excaliber taking the big racing victory!!  Freestyle was next and Jim Kohler in Avenger went wild, getting big air and wild donuts to take the freestyle win--all this after rolling over during the racing part of the show!!  A huge thanks to Monster Blog friend Mark Fontanetta for the photos below!!  (10/08/06)

9th Annual West Coast Monster Truck Nationals, Record Breakers, Champions, More!!: (Modesto, CA - J&K Office) The 9th Annual West Coast Monster Truck Nationals presented by Sobe No Fear and brought to you by J&K Motorsports, the Major League of Monster Trucks, is finally completed and teams are now on their way to the next event, however, J&K Motorsports will be celebrating this event for a long time.
For a huge weekend of three events with over a dozen of Monster Trucks that you will never ever see anywhere else, J&K Motorsports broke records in the sport of Monster Trucks. No one has ever hosted a three event weekend with thirteen Monster Trucks, with the craziest freestyles and best side by side Racing. Not only that, but J&K Motorsports hosted the first Racing Event where thirteen Monster Trucks qualifed every night, but only the fast ten Monster Trucks would race! The Major League of Monster Trucks also broke records with the largest Friday Night Event crowd in the history of the West Coast Monster Truck Nationals. A sold out Saturday Night and the largest Sunday event crowd as well, put another record in the hands of J&K Motorsports.
Jimmy Creten in his Bounty Hunter machine took the Overall Racing Championship, something he hadn't captured yet in the West Coast Monster Truck Nationals. Coming off his 2005 West Coast Monster Truck Nationals Championship in Freestyle, Jimmy Creten made it to the finals on Friday getting a second place to Don Frankish in Maniac, but then took it to the finals 24 hours later and beat out his teammate, Linsey Weenk in Modern Outlaw. Jimmy Creten just had to advance through enough rounds on Sunday Afternoon to take home the Championship, and as Dave Harkey put the Crush Out Breast Cancer Bigfoot in victory lane, Jimmy Creten was the official West Coast Monster Truck Racing Champion!
On Sunday Night, when Jimmy Creten was handed his award, Creten went on to thank everyone, including his teammate Linsey Weenk, and his crew team that was on hand at the Awards Banquet.
With only the fastest ten Monster Trucks racing all weekend, all thirteen Monster Trucks were allowed to Freestyle, and that put more pressure on Defending Champion, Jimmy Creten and Bounty Hunter. David Smith in King Krunch was a top contender all weekend long putting his truck in runner-up position on Friday and Saturday as Jimmy Creten took care of Freestyle on those nights, but it was David Smith who took the Shock Factor Award! During David Smiths Freestyle on Sunday Afternoon, Darin Basl drove the El Matador and parked it in front of the bus and scattered out of the truck, while David Smith lined up for the bus! King Krunch was launched over El Matador and the bus stack by David Smith not just once, but twice giving him the Freestyle Win on Sunday as well as the Shock Factor Award but not the Freestyle Championship which was later given out to Jimmy Creten in the Bounty Hunter making him the first back to back Freestyle Champion, and making him the first driver to win the Racing and Freestyle Championships in the same year.
J&K Motorsports Inc. is already looking forward to the Oregon Tour 2006, where Klamath Falls Oregon, and Redmond Oregon will be invaded by the Major League of Monster Trucks during the first two weeks of November.  (10/07/06)

J&K Motorsports Helps 'Crush Out Breast Cancer' In A Huge Way!!!: (Modesto, CA - J&K Office)  The Major League of Monster Trucks with help from all of the thirteen Monster Truck teams and drivers, and help from Bigfoot 4x4 Inc, and help from it's staff members, J&K Motorsports gained 6,200 dollars to help Crush Out Breast Cancer with the St. Elizabeth Community Hospital. J&K Motorsports wants to thank everyone that helped in this, again including all of the Monster Truck drivers, and all of the staff that helped put on this event, and because of you, the fans, J&K Motorsports broke records and raised money to help Crush Out Breast Cancer, and making J&K Motorsports Inc., one of the biggest independent Monster Truck Companies to host Monster Truck events in the United States.
Stay tuned to MajorLeagueMonsterTrucks.com, the home of the Major League of Monster Trucks to see what's coming up next?
Going to the Oregon Tour 2006? You don't want to miss it! Klamath Falls, Oregon, November 3rd through the 5th, and Redmond, Oregon through November 10th through the 12th.  (10/07/06)

BIGFOOT® News From the Desk of Bob Trent, VP of Sponsorships & Events:  (Hazelwood, MO)  "It’s been awhile since my last update, but what a great weekend we just had. The official “Crush Out Breast Cancer” BIGFOOT debuted in Red Bluff, CA on September 29th, and the truck went over awesome! Dave Harkey did a good job behind the wheel. It took him 3 shows, but he brought the “pink” truck to the winner’s circle on Sunday, which was “Crush Out Breast Cancer” day.

Madusa also made her driving debut in the Madusa BIGFOOT. She did a great job, particularly considering it was her first time competing in a BIGFOOT truck! Both Dave and Madusa performed outstanding freestyles all three days. As Madusa’s crew chief in Red Bluff, Keith Sturgeon, regular driver of BIGFOOT #10, made sure that Madusa’s debut was a successful one.

I would like to personally thank Joe Froome and the J & K Motorsports family for having us there and putting on such a great show, and Dave, Keith, and Madusa for helping make the weekend so successful. I would also like to thank Joe and John Duever of Vinyl Images, for donating the “Crush Out Breast Cancer” vinyl wrap for the “pink” BIGFOOT truck. The wraps on both trucks looked great!
P.S. You look great in pink Dave!!
…..And Dan & another BIGFOOT first!!  Dan Runte, driving the Summit Racing BIGFOOT #15, performed another “first” in Team BIGFOOT monster truck history this last weekend. During a show in Wildwood, NJ on Saturday, September 30th, Dan was the first BIGFOOT driver to ever stop a monster truck straight up and down during a wheelie! Dan said, “I thought it could be done so I went for it."

Not only did he do it Saturday, but he also accomplished it again on Sunday. The feat did come at a small cost, as he tore the tailgate and bedsides off the truck. However, to see it done was well worth the costs. Way to go Dan! It always amazes me what Dan can do in a BIGFOOT truck."

And now a note from Ann Trent, President: "I would like to thank Joe Froome and Bob Trent for all the work they did to put the “Crush Out Breast Cancer” show together. In addition, I want to thank all the crew from J & K Motorsports, Joe, John, and Destiny from Vinyl Images, Dave, Keith, and Madusa, and all the fans for helping to support the cause. Over $8,500 was raised, even before the raffle for Dave’s “pink” crew shirt! Whether we’ve lost someone, survived with someone, or just spent time concerned about whether a lump was cancerous, we’ve all been affected by breast cancer. I am proud and honored that BIGFOOT was asked to be part of this event, and hope it is just the first of many more to come around the country!" (10/04/06)

Thunder on the Beach!!:  The 2006 Thunder on the Beach in Wildwood, NJ took place this weekend and featured an amazing lineup of trucks including Summit Bigfoot, Grave Digger, Raminator, newly crowned Special Events Champion Rammunition, The Broker, Stone Crusher, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. Your 2006 "King of the Beach" is Dan Runte in Bigfoot, who took two out of the weekend's three freestyles on his way to claiming the prestigious title. Mark Hall in Raminator was dominant in racing, winning two out of three contests, once over Gary Porter in Grave Digger on Saturday afternoon, and once over teammate Geremie Dishman in Rammunition on Sunday. Porter in Digger was able to knock off Hall on Saturday evening for the racing win, and grabbed the Sunday freestyle victory as well.  Raminator actually popped off the front tire in qualifying Sunday, but the team thrashed on the truck and got it fixed, allowing him to come back and win racing.  TheMonsterBlog.com was well represented at the beach this year with Special Contributor Dave VanArtsdalen taking his usual amazing photos, some teasers of which can be seen below, and Marty Menze, whose video footage of all three shows will soon be on the site!!  Thanks for your hard work guys and everyone be looking for tons more great coverage from this show in the coming week!!  (10/01/06)
