We are very happy to announce Hoffman Motorsports as the newest
partner of TheMonsterBlog.com!! Hoffman Motorsports is
Introducing Our "Road to the World Finals" Monster Jam Ranking System!!: What if Monster Jam ran a public national points series that we could all follow each week to find out who the series' top contenders are as the World Finals approaches each year? We think that would be great fun for all us diehard monster truck fans across the country, so we have decided to run a simple, yet all-inclusive ranking system (read: UNOFFICIAL) for the Monster Jam series, based on the actual results provided by USHRA.com, that will help recognize driver performance in both racing and freestyle throughout the course of the season.
Now we're sure that
you have many questions about how we will do this: How does it work? Which
events are we including? How are the points awarded? etc. In our new
section for the "Road to the World Finals" ranking system, we have a
detailed rationale and explanation that should answer most of these
questions. However, in the section we are also doing a Q&A with you, the
fans, so we can answer your questions and explain to you why we made some
of the decisions that we made. CLICK HERE TO CHECK OUT THE "ROAD TO THE WORLD FINALS" SECTION!! AMP Tour - Aztec, NM Videos Posted!!: The 2007 AMP Tour rolled into McGee Memorial Coliseum in Aztec, NM last weekend for two big shows featuring McGruff, Pit Bull, TNT, Sheer Insanity, and AZ Dust Devil. Anderson still managed to steal the show however, coming back with a wild encore run that saw the entire body ripped from the truck!! See below for the teaser shots... (01/28/07)

Thunder bringing home the big win for Ford in racing after Pablo
Huffaker's Grave Digger broke on the start. Freestyle would see young

early in the competition. The score would hold as several big names fell
short including Carl Van Horn in the Traxxas T-Maxx (28), and Huffaker in
Digger (26). But it was Tom Meents in Maximum Destruction coming out last
and grabbing the freestyle win with a score of 20, his first FS win since Minneapolis in December. AMP-ing it up in New Mexico!!: The AMP Tour Monster Truck Challenge came to Aztec, NM this weekend for two big shows and The Monster Blog was on hand for all of tonight's action. The show featured McGruff, Pit Bull, Sheer Insanity, TNT, and the AZ Dust Devil competing in racing and freestyle contests at McGee Memorial Coliseum. Dawn Creten Returns
to Competition!!: (Tonganoxie, KS) The last time fans
saw Dawn Creten behind the wheel of Scarlet Bandit was March 19, 2005 at
the Monster Jam World Finals. Taking 6th place in her first appearance,
Dawn proved that she was a contender any time she tightened the safety
belts. Following the biggest event of her career, Dawn stepped away from
the sport. Jimmy and Dawn were expanding their family and that required
Dawn to take some time out of the seat. “I saw all the success that the
team had last year, of course I was ecstatic, but I wanted to keep
contributing also” Dawn commented. Always a moral booster, Dawn kept her
presence known, cheering on her husband Jimmy and teammate Linsey Weenk.
In the heart of monster truck season 8lb 3oz Journey Jolie was born on
Febuary 20th, 2006.
The 2007 Monster Jam
season is going to be more competitive than ever before. New track
designs, new trucks and new fans keep the sport moving forward. “I’ve
taken time off once before.” Dawn explained. “And look what I accomplished
after that. There is definitely a time and place for everything. I have 3
wonderful girls and but I can’t let Jimmy have the only championship in
the family!” Columbus Monster Jam Photo Gallery!!: The stars of Monster Jam rolled into Columbus, OH this past weekend for three big shows at the Nationwide Arena and our newest Monster Blog Staff Member and veteran monster truck photographer Paul M. Harry was on hand for all the action!! Rod Schmidt in Grave Digger and Mark MacDonald in Safe Auto dominated the weekend, with Safe Auto taking all three racing victories, and Digger winning all three freestyles. The two split the wheelie contest wins, Digger taking two and Safe Auto taking one. This show also saw the return of Ed Eckert to the seat of Full Boar after his motorcycle accident last year, as well as the debut of the Dan Patrick's beautifully designed new Samson body. Monster Nationals in Huntington, WV Photo Gallery!!: The Monster Nationals American Thunder Tour kicked off the new season at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena in Huntington, WV, and our good friend Chad Dobbins was there for Friday night's action!! While there are some different looks this year on the tour, the championship battle may be very similar to last year if Friday's show was any indication. The racing finals came down to Mark Hall in Raminator and Doug Noelke in Tail Gator and it was Hall taking the victory, as well as winning the donut contest. Andy Hoffman began his quest for another freestyle championship with a huge reverser in his new ride, the War Wagon, to take the freestyle win. Geremie Dishman in Rammunition will likely go down as the first roll-over of 2007, as Rammunition got crossed up in the wheelie contest, and rolled hard onto the concrete. Dishman was ok, and the truck made it back to participate in racing. Thanks to Chad Dobbins for sending in his photo gallery from the show, check it out by clicking the link below!! (01/06/07)

Introducing TheMonsterBlog.com Reaper!!: Before you scroll down to check out some teasers and recaps from a few of this weekend's shows, we are very proud to announce that this weekend's Cape Girardeau Monster Truck Winter Nationals marked the debut of The Monster Blog Reaper!! We simply cannot thank our good friends Larry & Valerie Quick enough for coming to us with the idea for a Monster Blog themed version of the Reaper, and helping see that idea through to a reality. With the help of the fine folks at Vinyl Images and their creation of the Monster Blog themed alter-ego for Larry's Reaper, this scheme was able to make its debut on the truck this weekend right here in Missouri!!
The truck was a hit with fellow drivers and fans alike, and will be seen at several more events this winter, including next weekend's CFP event in Dayton, OH!! Once again, we are more grateful than words can express to Larry & Valerie for their overwhelming support of The Monster Blog, and we are proud to be associated with them. Tonight it would be Meents taking the racing victory!!
